I was at the Morse Museum and mansion about a month ago. While walking around the small museum I saw this example of an early telegraph key behind glass.
I got an angle with little glare a gave it a try. I used PB and Topaz detail filters...

Hey Dave, Pretty clear for being behind glass. Nice subdued filter application. Love the pastel colors. Nicely framed! Very well done!

Dave, I love how the filters worked on the metallic luster of this image. Super! What a beautiful mechanism too, from an era when function did not have to displace art. This is actually a receiver, one of the early ones that would draw dots and dashes on a paper tape. The amazing thing about this device is that it was what started the information age, which ultimately ended up spawning the Internet...

Thanks Kerry, I loved the simplicity of the mechanism yet as you stated a significant breakthrough...

Dave, excellent use of filters and I agree with Kerry how it worked on metallic luster. Wonderful show piece and great way to present museum artifacts!

Beautiful image of this stunning little machine. Gorgeous luster and colors. Sharp! Wow reflection! I think I'd prefer the background to be the same color so as not to distract. Gorgeous work.

Beautiful on all counts. I am trying to figure out why the base of the base appears curved....
