We finally had some brief sun amid days of rain. I took this cut (from my garden) anemone outside and took some photos for the chiaroscuro theme (thank you for the tutorial). A new approach for me as I usually shoot using diffused light.

Crop, Topaz Clean >Stylize Details, darken and even out BG a bit, applied one of my textures to even out the BG--dark green canvas texture.

    I always appreciate constructive critique.

WOW Anita. This is beautiful. I love the fact that you kept the stem in the BG recognizable yet oof. Works well. Beautiful light as well.

Where is the tutorial on this process?

Anita, Nice job with this one. I like the inclusion of the bud and the dark background works well. I think you revealed just enough of the stem and bud. I might tone down some of the brighter areas of the flower if it were mine. Nice work-it's lovely.

Anita, This is a winner. Very engaging textures and colors. Nicely designed. Really like the in-your-face pose.

Nice job, Anita. I love the colors, textures, and dark BG. The lighting on the flower is gorgeous. I like the inclusion of the bud, but I wish the flower was a little more to the right so that it would be closer to the bud and not so close to the left edge.

As always, thank you for comments.

Here is a version with a little space added to the left, and the brightness of the flower toned down.
