    Default Sept Theme Skimming Skimmer

    I liked how this little guywas skimming ,flying and running all at once. I think he was chewing gum too.
    Canon 1DMIII 300mm 2.8L
    ISO 400 7.1 @1/2500
    I left alot of room front and forward to give way for the run. Is is too much? removed a piece of seaweed small crop

    Hi Cheryl, lovely low angle, and I like the eye contact. Well timed to capture the outspread wings, and the running pose. I like the two tone BG of beach and sea, and I would maybe take a bit off the bottom - a tad above your signature.

    Very nice Cheryl! I photographed skimmers in NorCal last week but there were no juvis, how cute!!!

    this is indeed beautiful image cheryl.

    addon to stuart i'll mix up the white patch on right wing edge over the sea to the sea tone.

    Thanks for pointing that out , the white patch that is.I fixed that and cropped from bottom as well as a tad from left side

    Great pose, low angle, and "skimming" action. Sharp and well exposed. The image screams pano crop to me with about half the empty space below the subject looking willing to get eliminated

    Agree on the comp change and touching up the white area.

    to me the recent repost you chopped too much of top and ketp still long of bottom.

    Mital nailed it IMO.

    Cheryl, very nice capture....excelle angle...the feel, the bill tip in water, the wings up....excellent timing. nice water color as well. Many things came together quite well.
