    Default Aududon's Oriole

This is far from a spectacular image....but I havent seen too many images of this species posted so I thought I would share it. Likely most of the photos of this species that are floating around the internet were captured from this location in S. Texas known locally as "Salineno". Its actually a terrible spot for photography - way too many feeders, messy BG's and lots of people. But with some patience, diplomacy and luck it is still possible to create a decent image or two.

    Hope you enjoy this one.

    Camera Model: Canon EOS 40D
    Shutter speed: 1/100 sec
    Aperture: 5.6
Flash: On - 4 flashes off camera - although this bird was not really within the "sweet spot" for how I had them set up.
    ISO: 400
    Focal length: 500mm + 1.4x

Definitely a great find and as well done as possible under the circumstances. Thanks for sharing!

I like it, Glenn. Good pose, exposure, background, and composition. And, a very colorful bird, besides.
