    Sid:

Tremendous action here with poses and flying water. Good job getting both heads in a pretty good plane, good shooting angle.

The major distraction for me is the large clump of light trunks on the shore line. I would consider toning them down to keep our eye on the ducks.

    Cheers

Sid, These are Mottled Ducks (or as many would say, Mallard X Mottled hybrids). Spectacular image with killer head positions and a perfect EXP and great sharpness. Curse the stringy weeds on the shoreline...

    Artie:

Do you think these are both males? Obviously the one on the right, but the one of the left has a more olive bill which I associate with a female mottled. It may just be the lighting. Or perhaps a juvi male?

The black spot on the gape really shows well here!

    Cheers

Good catch Randy; I missed that. Male on the right, hen on the left.

Great action and image. Perhaps you could tone down the weeds in BG.
Love the bill color and eye contact on the male.

Excellent action captured. I like the low angle and super head and eye details

Great action shot. Love the HA and the spray of water. Too bad for the weeds in the BG, I agree with Ilija about toning down the weeds....
