Created in the garden of the "Garden Inn" Boquete, Western Panama in April
Perch is a rock bird table, part of a typical pre Colombian Art figurine.
I found it difficult to get these birds just right as the yellow were difficult to get right. I also wish the BG wasnt two tone
Stunning birds to see in the wild! Never saw this species in Costa Rica and it was fantastic to have them in Panama visiting the breakfast area.

40D 100-400 1.4 TC very close, small crop
Denoised BG usm on bird, added vibrance and a little black in SC
    1/250 handheld, Ev 0 ISO 800 f8

    Hi Mital

Point on throat and bill color noted.
    There is no real "white" on bird;

Throat is described as dull silver/white; top edge of bill can appear as that too ( ie metallic/dull silver), though; no burn/alterations made.
    lets see what others say.

    thanks for comment

This is one gorgeous bird Richard and you've presented him nice and sharp.
As much as I like the green bg, I'd have taken a step or two to the right to avoid intersecting his head.
It looks like the yellow on the head need a bit of taming.
If necessary, there's an excellent tutorial in the Educational Resources on desat-ing yellows.
Thanks for sharing all these cool looking species with us. Very nice image overall.

Or, if possible, move over to the left and wait for a good pose against the nice green BG. Beautiful bird with nifty plumage, and Sidharth has a few other good suggestions. HA could have been better. Thanks for sharing all these "exotics" to us!!

Spot on with the positioning comments guys; I do have quite a few more "exotics" to post and iondeed some more STT's

There is slight clipping of the reds but not the yellow but as the ER describes this is a component of the yellow
in the RP I have reduced reds by -20; difference is lets say subtle. The bue channel is not blocked but I will have a play with blue filter some time.

I do have many pics yet to post of these bird types from Panama, and as I am about to leave for Costa Rica for 3 months its a fair bet there will be some more lol

Was very nice of you to offer your kind comments.

    Richard,

THanks bro for taking up the point. I have no idea of what this bird is so it was my wrong assumption.

Anyways Sidharth and Daniel have made their good points. Indeed this is a gorgeous bird you have shared with us.

I would like to share one thing with you. Dont know what your processing method is but if you are using DPP or ACR you can eliminate the Chroma Noise (chrominance RGB noise visible in your images). ( once few year ago i was using 40d i had same and read somewhere this).

I would still prefer your OP as the Re-Post bg having purple cast killing the beauty of bird IMO.

    Hi Mital

Swapped RP sorry about the cast

Actually I use Topaz Noise reduction but in this image none was used on the bird

    I will experiment!
