Hudsonian Godwit

Hudsonian Godwits are not too common in our area. I was lucky to see one in adult breeding plumage this earlier summer and the juveniles recently. The photo below shows the juvenile. It was feeding along with Greater Yellowlegs and Black-bellied Plovers.

Because the shore was full of junk (from people and from birds), I did some cloning/healing in the background to remove the distractions. I look forward to everyone's feedback.

Lovely soft lighting on the godwit and a nice alert pose. If you have it you could use more room on the bottom for the virtual leg that is still in the water.

Yes i would sharpen the bird a bit..

Happy with the framing though as i like viewing it wide with the going forward flow.

More sharpening and more room would be good. I like the walking pose and the soft colours. Good job on the junk elimination as I cannot tell that work was performed on the BG. Perhaps a bit bright on the midtones...toning them down to about 0.80 in PS Levels does wonders to your image.
