Basic Simplify processing.............I took this image before I ever heard about Rule #2; if its in the frame, include it it all with the border. I still happen to like this image, especially the red carpenters level in the window. Who decorates with that anyway. I'm looking for work/ doesn't work feedback on the windows partially included in the frame. Like any rule, there are exceptions, I'm not sure about it in this case. Thanks for the look. BTW, if the fence looks blue let me know............

I like this image, and your rendering. It is a question that pulls at our natural curiosity. Love the colors also, and the tight crop...

Hi Jay, love the comp and the colors too! The fence looks okay to me, but the upstairs window looks too blue.

Jay, I like the image. My initial reaction is that it is a bit tight on the sides. I'm on the fence (couldn't resist) about the windows. I don't feel the need to have them all included since to me the image is about the entrance. The fence has an ever so slight blue look but I like it. I included a Christmas card look that I got when I looked at the wreath and the fence. I'm not suggesting you consider this option but just that your image has many options. I could also see a scary Halloween house. I have to start shooting houses so I can create my own cards~

I hope I haven't offended you by posting this, it is only meant to show folks that your image has so many creative options.

Jay, I'm straddling the fence on this one...I generally like very tight compositions, but I find this one a little tight on the LHS and the RHS....but I think that's because the eaves over the front step lead your eye out and away from the image, and there's no where for them to go. I love the colors...love the lines of the fence...I'd like to see what else is in the RHS window besides the statue of St. Joseph (I'm guessing St. Joseph because of the carpenter's level). I don't know that the window in the URC bothers me, simply because my eye treats it more as complimentary to the composition...it adds balance...rather than a strong anchor point. Does that make sense? Either way, great job of processing...really liking the style you've developed.
