    Default Bald eagle fly-by

A sub-adult bird with some remaining dark spots in the white head and tail, and some pale areas in the wings. From a cliff top in Inverness, Cape Breton in August.

    D7000, 300 f/4 AF-S, 1.7TC, hand-held. ISO auto (1250), 1/2500, f/7.1.

Moderate crop, some sharpening, sky darkened a little. Levels applied. This one had (IMHO) the best combination of head and wing angle of several that I took as it flew by just above eye level over the beach.

    Richard:

Nice to see this 3rd or 4th year bird. Well exposed, sharp, good job on sky.

Because of his angle of flight (downwards) I would try to give him some space below to fly into.

    Cheers

Well done Richard! The whites and darks are well exposed. Tack sharp and good details on the face. I like the grey sky. I would add a bit more room below the eagle as he is flying downwards.

Richard, nice exposure on this bird. Very sharp and good detail. I agree if you can add more room below, it would take this already nice shot up a notch. TFS
