Default World Rhino Day - White Rhino

Joining the Rhino awareness campaign with this fine specimen taken in the Kruger National Park in May this year. Went for a tighter crop to try and minimize the effect of the road.

Hi Pieter, clean and simple, with great detail where it counts. I like the perspective on this one and the HA/crossed legs just adds to the image and makes a nice addition for me.

Good to see you back posting again, seems like things are moving on with your imagery & processing, looking forward to seeing more.

Fine specimen indeed Pieter, I like the pose and soft light here. The road is not a big nit for me here - always great to get such a clear view of them.
With the recent poaching spree in Kruger, I hope this fellow is still alive and kicking

Pieter - I like the pose (it seems to be a "come hither" look). The road doesn't bother me on this one. Nice dof and pov.

The road is not a problem for me either and in fact it gives us an opportunity to see the rhino nails, usually hidden in the grass. I like the POV and the slightly off balance pose with the raised foot. A very nice image which I'm glad you've posted. Thanks for joining in!

The low POV really gives this image a unique look. Well done.

Hi Pieter, excellent DOF, and a great angle of capture ( from your car I presume ) You have brought great detail on the hide, and love the beady eye on you.

I like this one very much. The Rhino looks big and strong. Pose is awesome with the foot stepping forward. Very well done.

Thanks I appreciate your comments Stuart and Lorant. Yes Stuart taken from my car and fortunately the Rhino was on an up slope.

Hi Pieter, this is a fine image of a white rhino. The front foot/ leg leading in the direction of the head, the detail and the light add to the image. Well done and TFS.
