Taken at one of the lakes along the Icefields Parkway (can't remember which one). Light was somewhat harsh but I really liked the clouds.

Hi Rachel, you had me wondering about which lake, so I began looking through my friend Mike Grandmaison's coffee table book on the Canadian Rockies. This is Lower Waterfowl Lake. I love the clouds too. You did very well given the harsh light. I might clean-up the white stuff in the water inside the clouds reflection and perhaps darken the mountain reflections so that they are just a tad darker than the actual mountains. Nice work!

I like the clouds and the image design. This has a bit of an HDR look already; if I were out there it would be HDR all the way for me. Try it next time; you might love it.

Thanks Artie. I did try a few this time but haven't caught the HDR bug yet. I did post one a couple weeks ago:

I agree with the comments, very nice scene as all have been, the stuff in the water though, looks like a tough clean up job and there
is a lot of it. It does have an HDR look to it.

Spectacular clouds Rachel. They look a little over-processed, but maybe that's just me. Agree about removing the white spots in the water and would try to increase the contrast on the BG moutains a little. I can't stop imagining this place when there's no wind. Magical!

I will have to agree, I would try this one in HDR. The cloud are very nice, on my monitor the mountains have a blue haze that for me is not very appealing. over all I like the image. I have been down this road many times what a great drive!!!!!!!!!! nice job...
