Grahame, I really like the composition and the angle that you chose to shoot your tulip. The colors are very nice and the light through the petals is nice too. I might evict the green in the right lower corner. I think that these type of images (f2)work best when you have your focus set more on an area that is closer to the viewer for this image- near the stem and towards the front petal. The ULC seems to be where your sharpest focus is. I do still like this and feel it has a nice abstract quality to it. Since this is OOTB I might try to use the mixer brushes in CS5 or play with one of the painting programs.
Ahem...."Paul up in Macro...lololol".....Paul is usually found in OOTB Grahame, He wanders around a bit from time to time......Good to see you here and again nice image
Grahame, lovely tulip and I like the diagonal placement of the blossom in the frame. Agree with Denise on evicting the green and on the point of focus.
Love the light glow and colors to this, Grahame, and nicely framed. Personally, I'm wanting the most forward petals to be in focus for this particular composition, but that's just MHO.
