This shot gives me a bit of a buzz because I stalked it, he went clockwise round a copse In a field and I went counterclockwise, then and crawled through grass for 50 yd or so. I hid by a fence post and poked my head forward - there he was. He saw me and I thought I had blown it but I kept still and hid my face behind the lens. I managed to get within about 20-30 feet and got this shot.

The results are well-worth your effort. The exposure is right on and the selective focus works well in setting off the hare from the background. Great detail.
I would crop a bit on the left. I would like to see a bit more space at the bottom as well, but given the circumstances, those are minor points. Great job!

I agree with Van's assessment - looking good.

In a perfect world a bit lower perspective would have gotten the middle-ground ridge out of the rabbit's neck but based on the description, that was probably not possible - to much moving around results in the rabbit dashing off. Nice work.

Really good job on a juvenile jackalope !

Yes Steve - you bet! Trouble is there are very few about this year, I haven't seen any boxing either.
