    Default Carbon Fibre Care?

Being a new convert to carbon fibre (Gitzo GM5541) is there a "right" way to cleaning the material.

Also, after one use only I noticed the monopod now has quite a few scratches on the lower extension, is this the norm?

    Thanks
    Richard

After doing what Richard suggests I wipe the legs down with a VERY LIGHT coat of Armor All.

also a light coat of WD 40 after rinsing if used in salt water the oil gets into the areas you can reach with a towel and displaces the water there.
