    Default Red-Breasted Merganser

Captured at Ding Darling Sunday. I liked the comp with the calm water and reflection.

    Canon 40D, 600mm f/4L, ISO 200, f/4, 1/3200, -1/3 EV (verified correct by histogram)

Great capture. Nice exposure and detail. Love the droplets on the duck's head, and the reflection. Saw these down there on Saturday but had a tough time shooting them with a shorter lens.

Hey Bob, Love the angle of the bird to you, the head angle, and the wake and its reflection in front of the bird. The whole thing looks a bit dark to me; what say ye others?

I agree on being a bit dark but easily corrected. All the important in camera composition handled well as mentioned.

I like it dark. I think lightening it would take away from that really rich blue in the water.
