    Default Juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron

I was in a Kwik Camo, waiting for a Belted Kingfisher that only flew by but never landed.
At one point this junior flew in and stayed for a few minutes.
After two hours I gave up on the Kingfisher for the time being.
I removed one branch going right behind the bird and a distant OOF branch as well.
    Thanks for looking.

    Karl:

The greens in the feet and lores are neat, the latter sets off the eye well, like the raised foot pose. The green on the perch adds a lot, and I like the pano crop, fits with the tight rope walking theme.

Bird has a nice angle in the frame

Making lemonade here( king fisher didn't cooperate), well done.

    Cheers

Juveniles BKNH are tough to photograph, out in the open (in our region), getting this bird strutting his stuff on a log, leg raised is a keeper...sharp, true colors, nice bkgr...well done Karl

What makes this image for me is that subtle head turn and those funny red eys looking. the rest of the image is also a treat though..

Nice pose and colours. I love the wet footprints this guy left behind it!! The brightest vertical streak at tail tip could be toned down, but great job with the post processing.

    Thanks, Artie.
    It looks nice and sharp.
