    Default Magpie Geese

Sometimes it pays off to get up early. Taken this morning.

Only post precessing was a small ammount of sharpening.

What a lovely shot! Geese are lovely & sharp, and colours are obviously great. Personal preference would have been for the geese not to be entirely centred above the sun, but rather a bit further right. But that's a small thing, and still a great capture as it is

Hi Richard, difficult technical shot but you did a great job with it! I would crop a little from the right so that everything wasn't quite so centered, but other than that - congratulations! Nice work indeed.

Richard, good comments above. I really like this one. Great balance, great moment in nature and nice technical shot, love the sun. Many times the image is stronger if the birds are closer to the corner. A tighter crop would help too, lots of space here. But the picture is solid and colors are beautiful.

Yep, I like it! You are a brave man Richard to point your sensor at the sun, but the risk paid off. I keep wondering if showing the whole orb of the sun would have been better than a portion, albeit a large portion. I love the rich, warm colours. I think a vertical crop zooming in a bit more on the birds would work here too.

Just curious, do you have any more of pic of these geese, love the mood and sun rise.
