    Default Lotus 'n' Leaves

I used Topaz and MB Photo Looks. I like the resulting colors and tones from PL.

I haven't been around much because we are doing a lot of painting and work on the house since it got cooler and my sis will be here for 3 weeks in Oct., so don't think I have dropped off the face of the earth!

I thought maybe you'd fallen in the pond.....know the feeling, had to get work done around here, my wife was getting out a second job jar...
I like the series of lily pads you've done, I like the bottom lily pad, not so sure about the top one, I know people going to say I am nuts but I'd crop the top pad in half, showing only the little green pad and the bottom one. I know this makes it a bit of a pano.

But a Fugeism I learned, your vision, your image...enjoy your sisters visit

Judy, Glad that you told us you will be having your sister for a visit otherwise we would wonder were you went, enjoy your time. I like this one a lot. A couple of small things I would change. I might blend or remove the dark spot on the left edge of the frame, and I might remove or blend the smudge at the left, center top. I like the colors and the composition is interesting.

    Judy,

I like the composition with the placement of the three pads along with the beautiful shades of purple and green. I also like the black outline on the two larger pads... adds drama. The dark spot on the bottom left doesn't bother me though I agree with Denise about the dark smudge at the top. Nicely done.

Thanks Paul! Glad to know I was missed I tried a browser crop as you suggested and although I agree the top pad is not that interesting, I still prefer this crop.

Thanks everyone! If I have time I'll see if I can fix the spots.

I would love to see just the big pad, as is, in purple water.... That's where the impact is for me.

Jules, I think this is a strong composition; I love pattern of the three pads....the muted colors are wonderful in this image...the water drops add strong visual interest...and the leaves floating in the water on the RHS give a sense of balance and depth. I agree with Denise about the smudges; I might give it a bit of CCW rotation as well. Nicely seen! Enjoy the visit with your sister!

Judy, I like the purple water contrasting with the lily pads. I also like the smaller leaves in the right corner - they give it an Oriental feel to me. I could also see a crop from the bottom eliminating the bottom leaf and leaving the top 2 lily pads which would emphasize the smaller leaves (It would make a nice Asian theme). I hope you have a nice visit with your sister

    Hi Judy,

Really like the filtering. I'll have to cast my vote with Art, as I might favor the image with everything but the second largest lily pad. Still very cool as is.............
