    Default Organizing pictures on computer

The more pictures I take, the more disorganized I become with my photo's on my computer and the more difficult they are to find. Has anyone got any ideas how I can improve. I am using CS5 along with iPhoto. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. My apologies for being so vague on this post

What's the problem? Just organize them IMO, this is a big decision, how to proceed? I would suggest that you get a copy of "The DAM book" by Peter Krogh http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&key...l_568rhvijmy_e Tons of info for you to check out and you can decide how you would like to proceed! Keywords? Folders? etc, etc? I am not using keywords as of yet. I'm using folders by species for flora and fauna. For USA scenics, I'm creating folders for states then subfolders for counties. Much more can be done from there! Good luck!

How to proceed is my biggest issue and doing it so I do not have to go through hundreds of pictures in numerous folders to find that one picture I want to work on. It would be nice to get it organized to a point that I do not have to do any major reorganizing again. I will check my local chapters for that book.
