Last time I went for this beauty, I had harsh light http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...rebe?highlight= so I went back to get them in better light. This was the the moment the bird made an alram call and all dived in.

Kept a tight crop for WEB.

    Spec: 1/2000, F 5.6, ISO 800

    Mk4+500mm+1.4TC

    Regards,

    Kiran.

Killer low angle, gorgeous bird and amazing sharpness. Just love the silky smooth bg and how the fg merges into it.

Nothing to add -- perfect in all respects, and a beautiful bird to boot. Wonderful image, beautifully presented.

KIran, what a shot. ultra-low angle makes such a big difference. colors, light, exp, IQ...superb.

might be personal preference...but I'd like to see some more space on top...the color there is really nice.

Truly stunning in every way, Kiran. What a gorgeous bird and you have really done him justice with this incredible detail, exposure, light, and low angle.

I was all set to tell you ten things wrong with this image and five ways to fix it but it is perfect.... Low angle, killer bird, light, open bill, image design, alert posture, fluffy butt, and loverly BKGR.

Do tell us how you made it, how you got so low.

    Thanks a lot Guru,

I used a tripod for this guru. I set up the tripod by opening out the legs to almost 180 degrees at the edge of the water body and kept the lens about 1 inch above the water. I slept sideways in the water to make the shots. Only issue was that water kept getting into my left ear

    Thanks again.

    Regards,

    Kiran.

Execellent capture Kiran Bhai... The low angle itself is killer.. I tried it and completely messed it with water. You have given me an inspiration for this shot....
