I'm looking at my thread, I got 25 views no comments. So, I'm thinking maybe this doesn't work. I look again at the image and the left fence post could be too dominant, so here is another look at it. What think? Maybe I'm not supposed to this, pardon, if so.

    Hey Jay,
No need for me to be redundant regarding your processing. Top notch as usual. I really like the way you framed the abandoned cottage. Your meticulous approach to framing your images with no merges and leading lines really works for me. I can see u really think your comps out. Love the pine tree on top of the cottage as well. All in all nicely seen, thought out and executed IMHO. The road is nicely highlighted forming a nice curve leading us up to want you wanted to show. Good Job!

Jay...the image is interesting but IMO I find there's just something missing, the wooden gates work and the shed is nice but I find there's nothing to draw the viewer's eye.

I wish I could better explain what I mean, I like the top one better. Very colorful and nice effects. I might have tried this pano crop...but its just my opinion.

Hi Paul...........love the feedback. Gives me something to think about. Appreciate you taking the time and effort to post your thoughts in an image. I'll wait just a bit and see if there are other opinions. Thanks again...Jay

Jay, When I first saw the image I was immediately drawn to the left post. My first thoughts were I loved it. The repost does bring your eye to the house more but after seeing the first one I fell in love with that left post, maybe a compromise. I wonder if you made the left post angled and not jagged like the OP. I think Paul has also added another view. His repost reminds me of a Christmas card. Whatever you decide for the comp just know that the filtering and lighting is PERFECT!

Thanks everyone. The feedback was super.

Paul, I may well use your idea, come Christmas time.

I'm thinking this image has a few workable comps.............

Jay, It looks great. This image has a lot of possibilities and I think you could even add snow to this one if you wanted, the base image has a real good feel to it.

This is excellent, Jay. I loved the progression of the image. The final one looks great...

Hey Jay, I'm late to the party - just got back into town - but I'm kind of glad that I am in this instance, as it lets me see the progression of your creative process. I like the original...I love the way there's a "halo" of barren earth behind the smoke house, set off by that lone pine. The fence, in the OP, is a strong, but almost overpowering presence...the pano was a little too tight across the bottom for me, but I like the idea. I like the square comp...but in the square format, I would almost like to see a bit more in the foreground (more of the road leading in)...LOVE Denise's idea of add some snow. The smoke house itself it intriguing...and the processing on ALL of the images is superb. Nicely done!
