    Default Pink House Peeking

Well, here is another experiment in urban landscape composition. The image was taken outside the Silverton, Colorado Historical Society. I'm guessing that is a one-person locomotive used for transporting coal cars. But, what caught my eye was the Pink House............couldn't resist it! Base image processed with Topaz Simplify. Some selective grunge work and a bit of canvass added to the right side. Let me know if this works. Thanks for the look.

Jay, I love all the colors and shapes in the foreground. I would like it with a little more room on the top also. This is a great series

Jay, great composition...the pink house DOES look like it's peering over the top!...wonderful tones and colors in the corrugated tin roof..to my eye it needs a bit more room on the top and right...the cut-off of the window in the URC distracts me. Nicely done...great series!!!

Jay, adding canvas to the right looks like quite a challenge. How did you do that? Love the image, need to go back there!

Hi Kerry, thanks. Very slowly! First off, I was focused on the peeking house and, I missed framing the image better, by not including more of the right. I used the clone tool in PS, cloned some of the window risers from the center window image.
The rest was cloning from other image parts that resembled the paneled outside wall and such. Then blending and so on. I'm not sure I could extend it further though. I find the context aware healing feature a hit or miss proposition.

Jay, I love the title! I'm liking the processing very much. I might add a sliver top and right if it were mine. Love how the pink house stands out!

Jay, this is excellent. The windows on the pink house remind me of Pixer's animated movies... as if looking at you! The color and grunge effect is just wonderful. Excellent processing.

Thanks for the feedback. This image was fun. I got too focused on the pink house and didn't leave enough room up and right to complete the image. I will try more canvass top and right, but the window in the URC will be a bear. Thanks again.......Glad you all like the title.

Well done. My favorite parts are the derelict train and especially its cargo. A bit wider would have been a bit better: rule #2: get the whole window in with a border and the same for that wheel rim LLC.
