Shore Birds are like little children. Put a puddle in front of them and they just can't stay dry.

    Joe:

Nice flying drops, excellent wing position, light, colors in BG.

I would consider a crop of the free space at top, perhaps 1/3, so that the wings better work the diagonal line in the frame, and just a sliver more on the right if you have it.

    Good timing!

    Cheers

Perfect wings up pose, Joe. I think that Randy is on to something regarding the top...when I do a brower scroll, it works well. Love the eye contact also.

I am fine with the framing either way. Love the wings-up pose and the soft light on this juvie. Your comment reminds me of a kid I had maybe 25 years ago. His name was Ronald and he was very bright. And respectful and pleasant. An all around great kid. We were on a class trip to the Bronx Zoo and we came to this 6 inch deep puddle. Knowing kids to well I said, "If anyone walks through the puddle they will be punished one class trip." Ronald smiled as he walked through the center of the puddle. He did miss the next trip

This one's a beauty, Joe. Perfect wing-up position, great angle, drops a bonus, and wonderful light. There's a small hot area at 255 on the flank, maybe from jpeg conversion. Another vote for a bit off the top. A real winner.

Great capture. Water adds a lot. I would have cropped a bit off the top.

Nice wing flap captured and love the flying droplets. Lovely detail in both wings.

Just repeating the others above, but I do love the wings up adn the droplets and I think a crop off the top would pull it stronger.

Nice work - I guess now I know why people walk straight through puddles...
