Like this one a lot Arash! Beautiful breeding plumage, nice behavior, both birds sharp, and of course the splash. Well done!

OMG Arash, this is amazing behavior captured and such pleasing light and BG. The splash is killer.

Really nice. I think the colours are great and to get both birds as sharp as this really makes it. I made a few shots of this behaviour in our pied avocets, but could never get a good match of SS to stop the action and dof to have both in focus. Oh and the splash is a really nice touch.

Great action captured. Love the nice light and color, and great job to get both sharp! Really like the expression of the avocet in front.

So you do take photos of birds that are not in flight?

Two great head angles plus perfect timing on the splashing. Sharp and techs perfect. Would love a bit more room all around but I suspect that so would you....

Wow, not much more to say...a beauty. The only thing I'd like would be a bit more on the top and the same amount less on the bottom.

Great behavioral image, Arash! The light, colors and action are awesome.
I agree about leaving more room around the birds.

Fantastic behaviour shot! Pretty amazing you've managed to get enough DOF for both birds. Composition is fine as presented - I see no reason for any extra room.

While I am not at all shocked shocked that you disagree with my comment above (to steal some Passover phraseology, "Why should this post be different from any other post?), do see my comments on the subject at Dan's juvie Red-necked Phalarope here in Pane 16. Also, a bit more room all around here would, to my eye, be a lot more pleasing from an artistic standpoint. I'd love to hear Arash's thoughts on the matter, and the thoughts of others as well (even if they disagree with me).

Again, it is a great image as presented.

Hi Artie, I promise you that I sometimes do agree with you but then there is no need to say it. I tend to comment when I don't agree with you only because people tend to read your input as if it were (to steal some Passover phraseology) written by God himself...
Your opinion and my opinion are just our opinions.
Having said that, the more I look at this fantastic image the more I start to see your point regarding some more room....

That one was grammar not spelling. "If I was" is only correct if you are referring to something you were just doing, such as "If I was stepping on your lens I am sorry."

Everything else is the subjunctive, "If I were..."

    Thanks everyone comments and suggestion.

I will dig the original when I get a chance and see what it looks like with more room around. For web presentation I usually crop somewhat tighter to show the details better

Wow, I love that DOF. How many times I saw two birds together but could get only one in focus.
