One more Marmot, not so serious.
One of the most pleasant animals on the planet.
Just happy eating Wildflowers, and posing for the camera.

I like the environment and the wildflowers. I like the full-frontal lighting. I find the head angle a bit awkward with the dark shadow on the left.

Nice detail and the flowers really add to the image. Great to get it standing but I agree with Robert about the HA being slightly awkward.

Like the inclusion of the flowers and rocks with the marmot...what a dicotomy to their enviroment at this time of year. You captured great details in the fur. Would have preferred the lighting to be a little more even.

Dan, what a pose you captured here, and nicely separated from the surrounding BG. Great fur detail too.

Thank you all for the nice comments, I may have to post one more.
The subject deserves the credit, the Marmot let me get so close and stayed around so long that
I had time to go back to my backpack which I had set on the ground and change lens.
This was with an 18-105 with a polarizer that I was taking landscape shots with and I changed it
for a 70-200 and took more photos while he chewed flowers and posed on rocks.

He looks quite serious looking at his stance .
Nice one Dan. Could you have gotten even lower here?
