    Default Boardwalk Reflections

    This was taken last year of the boardwalk at Paynes Prairie. I liked the symmetry of the reflection. I used Topaz B&W Umber Dynamic with a Simplify creative effect and Silver and Paper Toning. Although the reflection is symmetrical the horizon and bush in the LLC isn't - I don't know if that will be a distraction or not. Maybe a crop from the left to eliminate the bush? And the tree in the center - a deal breaker?

    Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

    Cheryl, You are on a roll with these images! Great use of the filter . I would evict the center clumpy tree and clean up the left edge if it were mine but I really love the reflection and the lines!!

    Hi Cheryl, wonderful image and I too love the reflection. Agree with Denise on removing the tree in the middle. Wonderful use of filters... excellent processing.

    Hi Cheryl;

    Denise and Indranil both make good suggestions...I really like the reflection of the boardwalk and the strong horizontal lines leading through the image...a nice job of toning as well. Keep them coming!

    Hi Cheryl, Nicely seen. You had a lot of choices framing this one. I like the one you chose, sans the middle tree, as suggested..Nice mood set by the toning of the image.

    Having been to Paynes Prairie numerous times, I just love love this image! It's SO Florida. The topaz B&W is perfect. I particularly like the tree with the moss on it. I think if this were mine, I'd try cropping from the right to move the tree out of the center and lose the distorted section of the reflection.

    Thanks Denise, Indranil, John, Jay and Maureen. Here's a cleaned up image with the tree removed. (Maureen - there goes the moss) I thought about removing the clipped tree on the left but left it to balance the clump of grasses in the lower left.
