Really nice topside view of this buzzard. I like the talons just visible under the tail and great head turn. The little bit of wing blur at the tips is fine for me. I might selectively sharpen the eye and head a bit,

    Hi Pieter,

I totally agree with Gail, and perhaps take a bit off the bottom for a more vertically symmetrical crop. Excellent eye contact, catchlight and overall sharpness.

Gail nailed it for me. I'd also prefer a better hue to the sky...perhaps with less magenta in it or more cyan in it.

Killer dorsal view and I love the tail. Sky color looks fine here. Sharp too!

Nice image, I like the topside view with good eye contact. I'd lighten the eye a tad.

Great! I formed my opinion of the image and was ready to jump in about the dark eye. But Herb beat me to it. Also, with Artie, I applaud you for the fine dorsal view.

Hey Pieter, great banking angle captured here, showing the full wingspread nicely. Well placed in the frame too.

Thank you all for your kind comments and suggestions, much appreciated. Have lightened and sharpened the eye a little (allways concerned with oversharpening). Daniel have tried changing the sky colour but did'nt quite get it get it too my liking so will stay with this for now, thanks again.

Powerful glance and beautiful top side view! I think for this flight pose, its hard to decide on a vertical or horizontal crop. I think it looks fine now. Good job!

Thanks for your comments Tin Man and you have given me ideas for an alternative crop, as per your vertical crop which I like.
