Mitch, Really nice tribute image. I like the choice of blue for this. The sky looks neat. The composition seems a bit squished with so many large elements but you did a good job using color to help with that. I can't believe it has been that long already. Makes you really think....

Mitch, I love the perspective! The color and the effect works well here. Excellent use of filters.

Mitch, a good use of color...like Denise mentions, it does seem a bit tight...I might suggest adding a bit of canvas to the bottom, extending the water some to give it a bit of breathing room...it's hard to believe it's been 10 years. What caught my eye...and I find so touching in the image...is what appears to be a cross atop the WTC building to the right...nicely captured.

    John,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, it does need more room. I have some ideas to work on.

You noticed the cross atop the right tower. I did NOT add that. (I guess it is an antenna of some sort) It was there, and I had never seen it before. I noticed it because I did remove the large broadcast antenna from the left tower as I found it distracting. This image was from an old Kodachrome slide that I took in 1986. I thought it would be nice to remember Lower Manhattan from before 911. This was taken from the Brooklyn side, so the towers rise up behind other buildings.

Thanks Denise, Indranil & John. I will work on another version that is not as tight. Somewhere I probably have another slide with the excursion steamer a bit more to the right. (If I could only find it...) This was from an old Kodachrome slide taken in 1986.
