Thanks for the comments... He was one of the larger bison I saw on my trip (I was probably too close but walking away)... wasn't 10 minutes later I saw another very large male give a tourist a serious look back (Make my day) then look briefly like he was going to charge a car head on before ambling off the road & up a hill. Not something to tangle with...
