Excellent work. The 400 f/5.6 + the 1.4TC seems to be a very sharp combo. Very nice perspective and eye contact with your subject. It needs about 2.27 degrees of CCW rotation, in my opinion. Rotation increases the diagonal impact of the bill across the frame nicely.

Love the hair and the light on him. Blake is correct on the rotation. Good work.

    Ivo:

Very nice image. When I saw it, the first thought that came to mind was, Elvis lives again! Must be the hair(feathers)

Ivo this is a great image. Colour, composition and light all work together. As others have said the "hairdo" adds character as well.

Love this fantastic species and the exposure and the shaggy mane and the light and the head angle. Now get to work, do the CCW rotation, take a bit off of the bottom, and show us the repost. Thanks and later and love, artie

I appreciate all your comments guys! Thanks. You are absolutely right about the rotation, but I saw the need of it just after posting the image.:) Artie, thanks for the advise. I will get to work ;)

Forgot to say it is a globally threatened Dalmatian pelican in full breeding plumage, which nests just in few places in Europe - mainly southeastern part of it.
