    Not sure what the reaction will be but thought Id post this busy scene from last February, freezing cold and clear, so much life.

    I loved being out last winter, so many birds, beautiful cold clear weather.
    I love summer but when Im in uk Autumn/Winter are the best

    1/1600, f 7.1, ISO 800, Ev +.33
    40D 100-400 @320 subject infinity, small crop from sides to eliminate 1/2 birds
    cleanup bits and pieces with SHBT on Context aware

    Shellducks whoopers mallards and greylags (I think!!)
    Difficult to get everything in the frame I know, the moment is fleeting but had the birds at the bottom not been clipped I think the image would have been stronger.

    Yep all present and correct - good you got the Greylag correct
    Looking forward to the geese coming back in large numbers and they are.
    Latest report from Marshside showed a count of 1000+ Black tailed Gotwit yesterday may go and look tomorrow
    its poss one day to get all birds in a shot in one piece and seperated; that would be cool

    That is some variety you have there, looking forward to your captures from this upcoming winter. You will certainly have some choices
