I like the intense expression and body language as this Jackal Buzzard comes in to land

    Hi Graig,

I agree - a great expression, and a nice sharp and well focused bird. The angle of the bird as a whole and the wings in particlular, is good. Good eye catchlight. I find the background a bit distracting, particularly the oof vulture behind the buzzard's left wing, and perhaps some further blurring or removal might help.

I agree too, Great eye and intense look for a successful landing. I would consider taking out the vultures head above the wing, this would take it to the top. Nice job!

Beautiful pose and timing and a very good job with the somewhat harsh light. Have you considered evicting the vulture?

Boy that's sharp - great detail, even though the vulture is soft I too agree it is a little distracting from an otherwise excellent image.

beautiful bird and awesome pose. excellent sharpness and exposure as well. Do you have more room in orig above? feels a bit tight there. I think a crop from bottom...above your watermark....will make it better.

A really good shot but the OOf vulture above the wing has got to go! good techs. I like the wing spread as well

Thanks for all your comments - much appreciated
Adding space at top is possible, original has more space but had to crop to fit 800 limit on the vertical.
Cloning out the vulture's head is sound advice - Thanks

Lovely shot here Craig for all the reasons mentioned! Good job on 'evicting' the vulture too...

Had a great morning at Giants Castle last Sunday, long hard drive down on Saturday, then Sunday morning in the hide and a long drive back... Was worth the tip !!
