We had a lot of different lion sightings on our recent trip to Botswana. This was one of the first lions we saw, and just after this, another lioness joined her. This was captured vertically, as I wanted something slightly different. Hope you like it.

I love the golden light here Stuart. the Pose and head angle gives it a sense of arrogance and royalty expected from these fellows.

I like that you went with a vertical view here. Nice perspective and light. I migth crop some off the bottom - WDYT?

Thanks Mork. I kinda like the space below- sort of space for the paws to lead into. Having said that, I will look at taking a touch off, to see how it looks.

Nice peaceful pose, Stu. Good light and nice BG blur. Vert looks good but I agree with Morkel's suggestion to trim a bit from the bottom. Had a little play with a crop, Viveza, ColorEfex and burn corners - how does it look to you?

Lovely light, IQ and colors...I would also say take some off the bottom...I would also say to try get more of the eye visible but I know when they are looking in the direction of the sun the eyelid shadows the pupil...Looks like you had a blast in Bots

Nice regal look to the lion and vertical was perfect for this tall in the frame subject.
