    Default BCNH on a stick

40D. 400 f5.6L. wide-open at 1/640s. iso 640. hand-held. I kept the SS high as I was in a very contorted position on a hard cement downslope. That helped freeze the tongue which was out for just a moment.

    All C&C welcome.

Kaustubh, this is beautiful. Perfect comp, focus, BG, and wonderful soft light. What's not to like?

    Hi Kaustubh,

I agree with the 2 previous comments, and particularly like the soft lighting and the background.

Lovely comp, soft light and bg, Kaustubh. HA is perfect and that red eye looks great.
Looks a tad dark on my work monitor.
Love the bit of light on the water by the perch. Very nice setting.

Agree with all the pluses plus the nice head angle. What's not to like? The dirty chin (that could easily be cleaned up) and the dead center horizon line that you could not do a thing about unless you put the perch up.

Great picture, Kaustubh. Love the pose and the way you managed to include the green shoreline.

Nice shot Kaustubh. I like the overall sharpness on this one, tongue out adds to the interest. The centered horizon doesn't bother me at all, the BGD is too blurry for any issues there.
