One more from my last workshop to the Pribilofs.

These guys were fast, so I was happy to get this one.

Can't wait to get back there. The place gets into your blood.

Lovely flight pose with those wings up. Nice fluid BG with good exposure in what appears to be very nice muted light. I like the crop you chose for this one.

Contrast of the bird against the fluid BG is too good

Actually, the place is getting into my blood, too, and I've never even been to the Pribilofs. Your shots from those islands are so good. This parakeet auklet is one of the best.

Firstly what a beautiful bird. We in India dont get such beauties. Now the way the bird has been captured, well wow. that's all i have to say to this.

Too good on your part. These guys are bullets. Sharpness incredible, EXP perfect. The bird could have raised its near wing a bit higher and turned its head a bit more towards you. Love the soft light and the two visible tertials.

Great shot Alan, excellent display of the wing feathers, face and plumage. The BGD is killer too.
