    First Mallard Duckling of the year, well there was 7 actually plus mum.

    Taken on the River Stort in Hertfordshire
    EOS 1DMK3 100-400 @ 400 f10 1/320 sec iso400 - Handheld

    Always nice to see them Pete !!! Hope they all make it !!!!

    Would leave more room around the youngster Feels tight in frame Small area around the breast with cooked pixels I'm torn between suggesting a lower angle or going with it for the reflection Imagine would go for the reflection !!!!

    Very cute. I think lower would be better in this case (though likely not possible) because the reflection isn't strong enough to add much and the position of the foot is awkward to me.

    There is a little bit of glare here and there that I would work on.
