I don't see flock photos here, I maybe should have posted this in Landscape.
A very rare flock of White Pelicans in a refuge outside of Portland Oregon, two weeks ago.
I have never seen them here, ever.
Beautiful birds, I have a bunch of in-flight shots, but nothing close, this is a big crop, as close as allowed in the refuge.

    Hi Dan,
I like the linear arrangement of the pelicans and the open bill of the middle guy. The separation of the pelican on the right from the rest of the group works well.
I have to say that flock pictures are hard to pull off in a pleasing way. Unless the "gods" have lined up a random but pleasing to the eye arrangement of the birds in the flock, most images just look busy and disorganized. This picture is nice. Light a bit harsh.

Dan, the IQ looks fine for a 'large crop'. The two pelicans with open bills do add a touch of interest, and as most of them are looking to the right, I would maybe take a bit off the bottom. That was also take them away from being placed centrally across the image, as they are now.
