    Default Dancing in Red

    Attached Images Attached Images

Two flash units, duct tape holding a piece of black garbage bag over a subwoofer, a very peculiar mp3 that repeatedly mentions pineapples, half and half with food coloring and a bit of patience

Some clean up of stray droplets, topaz adjust and pb/oil to give it a little more interest.

Very cool processing on a very cool image. Add a star field in the BG and it could be a planetary landscape...I just really like the texture, the marbling effect on the liquid, the shapes...just very, very cool. Great job!

Maureen, The comp seems well balanced and you took this a step further with the PB. Awesome work!

Very unique and interesting composition, Maureen. Nicely captured drop splash formation and very creative to use half & half with food coloring. Nicely lit, and good filtering treatment, really enhances the thick texture.

Hi Maureen, remember the movie "The Blob" well this is alot prettier. Nice technique along with great results. Strong droplets, well lit subject and pleasing color...

    Neat image and application, Maureen.

Like the texture and colors. Different approach to what others have done.

    Hi Maureen,
You did a great job with this one. The filtering effect added to the cool design you got. A large black balloon with a rubber band works nicely too. BTW can't wait to see what you get with your new toy. Also if you cut a large soda bottle in the front (sort of like an upside down C) and place it over the sub woofer it asks as a shield and less clean up work. GREAT job! looking forward to seeing more.

    Thanks Mark!
Susan, I think this is dangerously addictive I'm glad I don't have any close neighbors, since I'm quite sure you could hear my silliness well outside of the walls of my garage! I need to find a better mp3. Or better yet a sound frequency generator. Thanks for the suggestion for the shield. I definitely will do that. I tried a black balloon, but couldn't find one that would fit the speaker. I'll keep looking. I can't wait for the new toy!

Maureen, you made me laugh! I know the feeling. Google a sine wave generator. I created short & simple notes in Garage Band on my Mac Book and got the best results with it. I then hooked the sub woofer and the laptop to an amp. A friend of mine found the big balloons at a party supply store. Can't wait to see more.

Maureen, one word - AWESOME! Ok, more words. I really like this a lot. The surface character of the droplets reminds me of polished stone - like a rosy marble or some such. Really different and creative. Congrats!

I don't know if this looks like a piece of sculpture or something from a sci-fi movie. Lovely colors. I especially like the ball/circle at the top.
