    Default Buoy Window

I was at Acadia Nat Park a few years back looking to shoot a sunrise. When I got to the waterfront I couldn't find a suitable composition to take in the whole. I noticed this house filled with buoys and saw the golden light of a sunrise reflected in the window.

Nice job. The golden glow seems to permeate the entire image. Nice textures and colors. I like the different shapes.

    Hey Dave,
Comp is excellent and this does have a glow to it. Did you try opening up the darker areas any? Not much but just to bring up some more details in there. Just an option to explore and overall a very nice job with this!

    Hi, Dave.

A unique perspective on a sunset...one that is well processed and well composed. I agree with Roman's suggestion of maybe opening up the shadows a bit...some wonderful texture in the wood shingles. Great eye in seeing this!

Hi Dave, I can see Romans' point. As a matter of preference I like this as it stands.....there is just enough detail in the shadows for setting the mood. Yeh, the buoys are colorful and the different shapes are cool, but its that window and the warm colors of the reflection that just make this special to me. Wonderful play of light in this photo.

Wonderful compostion, Dave, and nicely seen. The colorful buoys create a nice pattern and frame for the window. Wonderful golden light! It pays to look behind you during sunrises and sunsets.

This is awesome! The PB effect is so subtle but perfect, smoothing out the bits of roughness of the bouys and shingles and really bringing out the colors and shapes. And the window is brilliant, in color and compositional creativeness!

Nicely seen and done, Dave! Really like the sun glow in the window, all the different shapes and colors. Different and effective.
