    1/1600 sec, f/5.6, 700mm, ISO 800 Aperture priority,
This Painted stork was shot at ground level so as to get a fore ground and back ground blur. Light angle was from behind me early in the morning. So I tried this lying down hand held from just behind my car. there is a whole series. Hope this compo works.

The bird looks really awesome but I'm not feeling the blurring that you did in post. I can see a definite line where the blur tool(or similar) was used. It just looks un-natural.

This is a great image! Light, colours, angle, sharpness, detail and action are all fantastic. Maybe some more room all around especially on the left.

Very nice shot, I notice some slight aretefact round the tail end and also just above the left foot. I may well not have noticed it if you hadn't mentioned the use of blur!!

Your position on the ground gives a great perspective on this stork. Love those running feet and the lighting on the bird! Do you mean that you used the blur tool in PS or that you wanted to achieve an OOF bkgd and foreground in camera? The reddish blur at the tail end is distracting since it appears to bleed into the tail feathers. It is possible to tone that down or desaturate some if you wish.

Spectacular shot. Love the running pose, and the gorgeous color and light. Great low angle, and terrific DOF. You don't say that you used blur in PP; and in any case it looks OK to my eye, except for the area around the tail as noted. Congratulations on a fine image.

    Dear Nancy Chris And Jonathan,

The blur is actually achieved on camera. But I think after you mentioned I noticed that the mask must have gone a bit wrong while doing the NR. will try and correct it. thanks a lot.

The repost works best for me. What a splendid image. Standing still this would be a striking bird, but you caught it running, with both feet in the air. The action you captured and the low perspective make this a winner.

Wonderful shot. I love that you caught it with both feet off the ground. The repost is definitely better. Well done.

Hope to see more from this series.

Beautiful colors on the bird and the BGD. I like the blurred BGD and the action portrayed by the feet positions. The repost looks better. Great shot.

Lovely action caught here , Ramesh . The bird is sharp , and the catchlight is a bonus . The blurring does seem a bit unnatural , maybe you could back it off a bit . Also I feel the image could take a bit of brightness .
