    Not a close up image for sure but I kind of liked this as an environmental shot. Sort of a where's Waldo for birds. The turnstone really blends in with the rocks it likes to frequent.

    ISO 400 f/5.0 1/500sec
    spot metering, aperture priority

    Leroy I like this habitat image but the OOF foreground doesn't do much for me. I might be tempted to crop the bottom 1-1 1/4inch off of this frame.

    I like the selected crop by Dieter Shows the habitat well and is more appealing !!! He sure blends well with the bg !!!!

    Thanks for the crop suggestions. For some reason I keep restricting my self to more 'standard' sizes for crops. It's something I really need to work on.

    Wow, I had to look pretty hard. Great environment image. The crop helps.

    Here's another one that does not work for me. Aside from the lost bird the blacks and neutrals are way washed out.
