    This one was taken in a marshy area.
    Fortunately we could go to the edge of the reeds where the mud flats started and go down,
    close to the ground.

    Your low, muddy postion was the place to be! This is lovely, great pose, lighting, details and reflection. I believe there was some discussion a while back about 2 highlights in the eye not being desirable when using a flash. Easy enough to take care of.

    Nice bird, reflection, light. Too bad about the smudges across the reflection though I'd take care of the longish streak touching the breast and the highlights on the bill.
