Another shot from my first real "birding" test of the D7000/500mm combo.

    Techs:

    f7.1 @ 1/1600 SS @ ISO-500

    All C&C most welcome...

MOrkel, very nice composition and wing position. good to see the feet not blocked by the vegetation. You placed yourself perfectly for this shot.

    Morkel:

As KD mentioned, excellent pose, framing, timing. Love the two birds on the right. Sharp and well exposed.

To my eye there is a green cast to the image. I don't know these birds, but they look greenish to me.

I did Robert O'toole's average color blur tech. and it looks a bit better, not so green.

    Just an option.

    Cheers

Randy's repost looks better to me in terms of the color. Now it is just a cracking great shot all around, love the pose and head angle of the incoming, and the feeling of anticipation of those waiting on the right. Great light and sharpness. Wonderful job!

Nice clean spread in this landing shot. I agree about the greenish cast, the repost does look more natural, color wise.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I normally am quick to notice a cast so thanks for that Randy...
