I shot this a few years ago at a raptor center for injured birds. I donated my images for whatever use they needed as a thank you for allowing me to shoot.

Hi Dave, Beautiful raptor. Your filtering application is just right on the money, not overdone.......the details are super. Killer eye and great over the shoulder pose. I'm not sure about the the branch (I think) on the right side as I could see the bird just by itself. The only other thing I might try is brighten the tip of the beak a smidgen, since that is such a prominent raptor feature.........but that's small potatoes. Very well done.

Dave, Jay pretty much covers it all....it's a beautiful image of a kestral, with that subtle processing that you are so good at...if it were mine, I might take a sliver off the top..and maybe add a bit to the RHS...but, to quote Jay, small potatoes...this is a beautiful image of a stunning raptor. I hope to see more.

I just love the colors in this image! Also, the pose of the bird, the lovely eyes, that wonderful beak. I think I'd prefer no branch. Lovely post processing work.

Beautiful looking bird, and stunning portrait, Dave! Great colors, nice touch filtering, and looks great against black BG. Agree about removing branch, very nice work!

    Hey Dave,
I think Jay's tweak suggestions will make this shine! Definitely worth exploring!
