    Default White-backed Vulture

We came across a kill during my recent visit in Botswana. There were at least 160 vultures waiting to feed, and were spread all over the area. I thus had the opportunity to capture all sorts of images and angles. The BG is an OOF rocky river bed.

Stuart, terrific details and exposure. good call on the f-stop. A tighter crop will be better IMO....IQ is very good...dont think it will suffer much.

Stuart, I'm thinking maybe a slice off the right but the pose, BG colors, sharpness and exposure look fantastic!

I appreciate your call on the aperture, Stu; f8 ensures a DOF deep enough to hold the bird, while your BG is still pleasantly indistinct. The brown of the river bed and the brown of the vulture blend beautifully. Really strong stuff, Stu.
