    took this image of heron fishing,you can see the concentration in its eye,just waiting to strike.cannon 7D,400mm prime lens,tripod,1/640s,f/6.3,iso640,comments good or bad,thanks.this image was taken early morning,bit over cast,would have liked a bit lower angle,but was not possible.thanks again.

    Hi Chris, I like the intense stare and the monochrome look of the image but as presented it is underexposed and lacks contrast so i pulled into PS and adjusted both the white and black points pulled the midtones up and added contrast with an S curve. I also did another round of light sharpening

    Well seen pose. The detail and colors are captivating. Don's processing work improves the image. Had you considered taking some off the top?

    thanks for comments,for me Don,I think for me your version is a tad too light ,and maybe inbetween my version and yours might be right,I will have to experiment,and Bob I think you are right about taking a bit off the top.thanks.again.

    Don' version looks juat about right from here. I like the bit of colour on the face, and fishing concentration pose is nice. If possible, perhaps backing up and taking a full reflection vertical would have been a nice option.

    thanks Daniel for comments,I am afraid,a vertical with full reflection was not a option.
