Got these two earlier in the summer taking an early evening jog as they tried to keep up with a group further away. I cooked the whites on the rump but thought it nicely showed off their manes. 7D, 500/4 + 1.4x TC II, f5.6, 1/640s, ISO 800, +2/3 EC, cleanup up a dark gash on the fur, HH from vehicle, full frame.

You are nailing these Steve...as usual...
Love the running poses. The clipped whites on the tails aren't that evident.

Hey Steve, you always seem to capture soft light in your images, and I like the running poses from both pronghorns. Maybe a touch more room behind

Very nice. Like the composition and the greens and browns in the background.

    Steve,

Excellent IQ. I would have preferred to have them coming at you and not just starting to go away.

    Hey Steve,
Slightly towards you would have put this one over the top! Not a deal breaker though as this angle really does show the manes off!

Steve - agree with the above about the light and IQ. As Robert and Roman said, having them heading slightly toward you rather than away would have put this over the top.

Thanks for the comments folks. Agree that it would be nice to get one running towards me but of the 800+ images I have of these, I have exactly 3 decent ones (from the same sequence) of one coming towards me. When they run, they run away .

As do most antelopes when they see us ...In some instances you get them nicely sideways and in rare cases towards you. I guess the challenge is for us to be ready when that does happen and make the most of it .
