    Default Ring necked duck

    Attached Images Attached Images

    Canon 1D4, 300 f2.8, 2x II
    1/1000, f8, flash e-ttl -1

A basic duck image, but I had to work hard to get close to this guy.

The slight halo above the head is present in the raw as well, so I didn't attempt to fix it.
Removed a couple of water droplets from the body as they appeared too bright from the flash.

    Comments much appreciated.
    Thanks

Whoa! What an eye, and what a shot. That eye even glows in the reflection, and the background sets off the eye. Absolutely wonderful.

Hey Sid, great flash work which in turn has brought out the dark plumage very well. Good low perspective, and just love the colours in the BG. The single droplet on the tail adds a nice touch. Well captured.

Very nice image Sidharth. Sharp, well exposed, appealing colours. I love the small wake in front of this fella.

absolutely beautiful. love drake-on-calm-water shots. Out here in Dallas, they are pretty hard to get close to as well. excellent BG and details. perfect shooting and duck angle.
