On my recent trip to Botswana, I managed to get a few images of these colourful guys. I quite liked the character of the perch, and of course the roller posed so well.

The exquisite light has brought out such nice colors and details, Stu.
    Love the head turn/eye contact.
I like the loose crop but could also see this working a bit tighter.

It's a lovely bird, and I really like opening up to the end of the perch. Beautiful image all around. Is it full frame?

My favorite bird! I would be tempted to turn this image into a panorama. Lovely light and pose and HA,

Sweet bird, light, perch, and image design (though I would take a good bit off the bottom). I never like more room below a bird than above unless there is a good reason to do so. Exquisite use of the branch.
