Super mood here Brendon! Would have been nice to have a tad more space at the bottom? Easy to 'stretch' it if you don't mind doing that?
(Looks very much like another one I saw earlier today which seems to be flipped 180 degrees)

Hi Brendon, great IQ for the slow ss, and those colours are awesome. I agree with Mork, a little more space below, and maybe a touch on the RHS too.

Brendon, the colors here are superb and the elephant's pose is great. Is there grass in the elephant's mouth? Well done. TFS

Brendon - beautiful colors and silhouette. The trunk position really makes this image. Agree on a little more space below if you have it.

    Hey Brendon,
I am fine with the crop (go figure). Colors and pose are fantastic and only recomendation I have is to lighten the area under the ele's belly a bit?.......just to provide more seperation with the grass. Even a tiny bit will make the seperation even stronger so any you can eek out will make this shine! Very well done!

    Brendon,

WOW! I love this image! I like the crop as is because adding more space on the bottom would just be dark. I agree with Roman on the lightening under the elephant. But it needs to be balanced with some lightening along the horizon otherwise under the elephant could look out of place.

Thanks all for the great comments. Tom, yes he has a little grass in his mouth. will see what it look like with adding a little more space at the bottom but dont really see the need for this as it will just be adding dead black space? Anyway will add space and repost for comment

A very vibrant silhouette, with a great pose.

Agree on a little more at the foot, also looks to me if there is slight halo around the elephant?

Repost takes it to another level - more balanced compo overall...have to agree that trunk in the air is the winning touch here!

Just to clarify - what I meant by this is that it seems you had a great safari on the Chobe river, looking at images from guys like Frits Hoogendijk of the same scene . I know you were leading the particular safari and would have loved to 'get in on the action'...

Great shot either way, but FWIW I like the original more - I guess because I would prefer not to have the tree behind the elephant; it's a very slight interruption (very slight).
